So I have been featured by a wonderful friend of mine, Christie Friddle Hill!!
She is a loving wife to husband Quintel and mother to her beautiful daughter, Moriah.
She has blogged about the struggles of becoming a mother and their adoption journey. Christie and I grew up together as we lived across the street from one another.
Her parents moved while I was in college and even though we have not seen each other in recent years we will always be close friends!
She is doing so much good with her blog and is so inspiring!

21 Week Update

How far along: 21 Weeks (I will be 22 weeks tomorrow so I will doa nother update soon)

Development: The baby weight about 3/4 of a pound and is about 10 1/2 inches long. Or the length of a carrot!

Movement: TONS...and getting bigger and more frequent. I love feeling this little on flipping and kicking in there! It is such an incredible feeling.

Weight Gain: Technically 0 pounds....But I am back at my starting weight as of Friday so I have gained that 10 back! 

Maternity Clothes: Pants for sure unless they are yoga pants. Shirts are still my old stuff but they are starting to get short so I may ask for a few shirts for Christmas.

Stretch Marks: None and I hope it stays that way!

Best moment of my week: Seeing our baby and knowing everything is OKAY! The baby looked great on the ultrasound Friday and was right on track!  

Worst moment:  None at all other than my mom leaving which is always hard!

Sleep: Off and on...I get up atleast once a night to pee and I am getting more uncomfortable. But it is still tolerable.

Miss Anything: Nothing at all...

Food Cravings: Watermelon, Citrus, Chocolate Milk, Taco Bell!

Aversions: None really! 

Gender: Won't know until April!!! We were able to resist the temptation on Friday and still do NOT know the gender of the baby!!!

Symptoms: Nothing terrible, just sore, some ligament pain, charlie horses in my legs 

Labor signs: Not for a long time!

Belly Button: Still in for now but getting closer to the surface!

Rings: On and loose!!!

Moody or Happy: Very happy and enjoying every moment.

Looking Forward: To my brothers graduation next weekend and getting to see everyone. I haven't seen everyone since I was only about 12 weeks along. I am looking forward to Christmas and starting to think about little one's nursery!!!

18 Week Update

How far along: 18 Weeks

Development: Baby is 5 1/2 inches from head to rump and around 7 ounces

Movement: Feeling more movement and got the first kick or jab yesterday.

Weight Gain: Not sure but hoping I have puton another pound or two 

Maternity Clothes: Love them still and just ordered a few more pairs of maternity pants.

Stretch Marks: None and I hope it stays that way!

Best moment of my week: Feeling the baby more and getting the first real kick. 

Worst moment: None at all. I realy am enjoying everything.

Sleep: Not as well this week. I get up at night to go to the bathroom but then the baby stays really active and I have a hard time going back to sleep.

Miss Anything: None at all!!!

Food Cravings: Chocolate and anything salty.

Aversions: None aymore 

Gender: Won't know until April!!!

Symptoms: Some round ligament pain when I cough or sneeze

Labor signs: Not for a long time!

Belly Button: Still in for now

Rings: Only my wedding band for now...they are so loose!!!

Moody or Happy: Very happy and enjoying every moment.

Looking Forward: I can't wait for more defined movement and my new maternity pants to be delivered!

COMPARISON:

 

17 Week Update

How far along: 17 weeks- my due date is back to April 10th which I originally thought. 

Development: Baby is about 5 inches from head to rumpand about 5 ounces. (the size of a turnip)

Movement: I have had more constant flutters mainly laying in bed at night. or sitting at work!
Weight Gain:  I gained 1 pound since my last appointment...down 5 lbs technically.

Maternity Clothes: Stil loving them! I love my new jeggings and leggings! They are the most comfortable!
Stretch Marks: None and I hope it stays that way!

Best moment of my week:  Going to the doctor with my Mom and being able to hear the heartbeat! Also knowing everything is ok with the baby.

Worst moment:  Headaches are still bad but I have a prescription now to take if it gets bad.

Sleep: Really good most nights and I feel like I could sleep for days! LOVE MY SLEEP!

Miss Anything: Still don't miss anything. I am loving it all!

Food Cravings: None really that I can think of. It kind of depends on the moment.

Aversions: This depends on the day...there are alot of things that don't sound very good to me.

Gender: Won't know until April!!!

Symptoms: Nausea some days, headaches, round ligament pain still

Labor signs: Not for a long time!

Belly Button: Still in for now

Rings: On and loose!!!

Moody or Happy: Very happy and enjoying every moment.

Looking Forward: I am looking forward to thinking about the nursery and possibly starting our registery soon!!!

COMPARISON:

 

15 Week Update

How far along: 15 Weeks 2 Days

Development: Baby is about 4 1/2 inches from head to rump and about 2 1/2 ounces. (the size of an apple)

Movement:I have felt a few flutters mainly laying in bed at night. The first noticable movement was the night before my birthday!! Can't wait to feel more movement soon!

Weight Gain: I have lost about 7 pounds so far. Actually lost more but have gained a little back! YAY!

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants are the best thing ever made! I wear them as often as I can and just got a few new pairs for my birthday. I can still get away with normal shirts and hope to for most of this pregnancy.

Stretch Marks: None and I hope it stays that way!

Best moment of my week: Feeling the baby move for the first time and for people to start noticing my "bump". I feel like I am starting to look more pregnant.

Worst moment: Neverending headache...I've had a headache for 3 days now and it is really annoying. I can only take Tylenol and it just doesn't cut it!

Sleep: Really good most nights and I feel like I could sleep for days! LOVE MY SLEEP!

Miss Anything: I don't really miss anything. Even through the sickness and the exhaustion, I am so happy to be pregnant and I am really just enjoying this time. It is going by so fast!

Food Cravings:Chocolate...that is all for now!

Aversions: This depends on the day...there are alot of things that don't sound very good to me.

Looking Forward: I am looking forward to my Mom visiting this weekend. I also go back to the doctor on Monday and Mom gets to go with me. I am hoping the baby cooperates this time and we can hear the heartbeat on the doppler.

Baby makes THREE!!

So the news has been out for a while but I haven't blogged in a while so this is the big blog announcement.

 

Baby Baugher is due April 14th, 2013!!

We are so excited and have been so blessed with this baby!

Brian and I are so looking forward to this new journey as parents!

I have been so bad about blogging and the whole reason I started this was so that when we did get pregnant we could keep our family informed.
I am going to start doing weekly updates so that everyone can see this baby getting bigger and also keep up with all of the changes going on!

I will put up the first weekly update tomorrow at 15 weeks!!!

Starting to feel like SUMMER!!

The weather has been beautiful here the last few days...
We have been enjoying it by grilling out and being lazy in the back yard.

Planting new flowers in flower pots (which hopefully will live to see the summer this year).

And yesterday we put the canoe on eth Potomac and actually caught a couple really nice sized Small Mouth Bass.
Brian caught the biggest one but mine was pretty nice!!!

We are looking forward to my mom coming up this weekend!! I am hoping she can teach me how to use my sewing machine and we are also going to go see The Lucky One.
I am so excited to see the newest Nicholas Sparks masterpiece!
Friday sure can't come soon enough!!
