Quickie...

We did have a wonderful weekend for the most part! Friday night we went out to dinner which was nice. Saturday was spent unpacking a few things that we still had in boxes, cleaning, trip to the mall to get a new fishing game for the WII (amazing), buying flowers, planting flowers, giving Daisy a haircut, then LOTS of fishing on the WII! haha...Brian really has gotten into his fishing! Sunday I was sick in the morning so we laid around most of the day like this....and fished for 4 hours!

The weather was BEAUTIFUL weekend so we had all the windows open. I am LOVING our new house especially being about to enjoy these spring days! It is finally getting warmer here! I am so excited about Mom coming to visit that I can HARDLY stand it! I am hoping it will be a nice weekend but either way I can not wait to spend time with her! So I am sure next weeks post will be a full one! Love to all!

hanging around...

Wow...I have really been slacking with this blog thing! I have been busy at work and didn't get to this!
Nothing really new has been going on in the Baugher household! Brian's cousin Daniel and his wife Emily welcomed the newest Baugher addition...Luke Daniel Baugher on May 12th.
We had a relaxing weekend spending time with our friends Justin and Cassie and baby Jayden and then Sunday was spent in comfy clothes on the couch. I made a huge pot of Maryland Crab soup which has lasted us 3 days! I think tonight it will be heading to the freezer. It looks like it is supposed to rain most all week long but will be pretty this weekend so we are hoping to get out in the scanoe on the lake and do a little fishing! I also want to get some plants to jazz up our front step and get some tomato plants for the back patio.
We are looking forward to mom visiting for Memorial Day (possibly Dad too!) and not sure if she is bringing the puppies or not. We love having them visit especially in our new place since the last time Mom was here was the weekend we moved so she has not seen the finished project!
I guess that is all for now!

Anniversary!

Another great weekend that went by too quickly. Friday was nerve racking for me since Will had his gallbladder taken out that morning. It seems so silly I guess but since we are a family where NO ONE gets surgery it just scares me! Plus hes my baby brother who is young and should have nothing wrong with him! HE ended up doing well and Mom and Dad kept me up to date so it helped a lot! Friday ended up blowing us by so we got up on Saturday morning and got around ready. I dropped Brian off with his parents at an auction and I went to get my hair done! I got about 11 inches cut off and added some blonde back into it. It is so much lighter now!
But it ended up taking most of the day to get by hair done so Brian and I rushed back out to Hagerstown and got dressed for dinner. We drove back into Frederick for dinner. When we got to the restaurant Brian gave me a gift in the car...PEARLS! Yes my very own string of REAL PEARLS! Every Southern girl needs her pearls! He is so good to me! So needless to say, I wore the pearls to dinner! But we had a delicious meal and came on back home to relax. On the way home I got a call from Emma...she told us she was watching Will since he had his surgery so that Katie and Eric could go out to dinner and Mom and Dad went out with Papa and Pat for dinner. Instead of Will babysitting her she was taking care of him! She had us laughing so hard! She was so sweet! The day was filled with lots of reminiscing about our wedding day and everything we did that weekend!
So Tuesday night i put the cake topper in the frig to thaw out. It actually still looked pretty good! When we got back from dinner we were both still stuffed so about an hour later I decided we would cut open the cake! Brian thought it was a horrible idea from the beginning but I was determined to eat a little just for the tradition. Well I don't think this cake froze very well! It tasted just like it did on our wedding day but the texture was horrible! Brian and I were both gagging and could barely get it down! I was hoping it was going to be yummy but atleast we got a good laugh.
So we have made it a year which seems so silly since Brian and I have been together so much longer than that but it has been a great year full of lots of smiles and laughter and memories. I look forward to the many years to come and enjoying each day together. So here's to the memories!
Mothers Day started out with my furry baby like this...
Laying above me on my pillow! She is so funny! We slept in some FINALLY and then lounged around in the morning. We went over to The Baughers to grill out and spend some time with them. We ended up going fishing at Mayne's Pond and since we had the dog I didn't catch anything! Brian caught a good size bass and his dad caught a couple little guys. It was so nice out I just wanted to be outside. We went back home last night and just chilled! We have a somewhat low key week and I looking forward to getting some plants this weekend. I have lots of ideas so we will see what happens!
Love to all!

Sitting on the dock at the Bay...

What a wonderful weekend we had! It was full of such great memories with friends that are really more another extension of our family! The guys headed down to Lusby on Friday night and I met up with Jenn, Donna, and Brooke and we went down Saturday morning! We timed it perfectly because just as we pulled up to the house the guys were heading back from the dock. They hadn't caught anything that morning because the wind was blowing too hard on the water. So after a little lunch we headed over to the beach so the kids could fly kites whihc ended that "Nana and Pop Pop" flew the kites instead while the kids got in the FREEZING water!
Boys on the beach
Kisses for mommy!
Fun in the water!
This made me the happiest girl ever!

Do once we spent some time on the beach we headed on back to the house. The girls went to the grocery store and we came back to have an amazing dinner and a crab feast! We had such a fun evening. On Sunday morning the guys went fishing and I received a call from Brian around 6:45 AM saying they had 2 fish in the boat! He forgot to mention the one he caught was HUGE! They came back to the dock with 4 fish in the boat.
Even little Justin pulled in his own big boy!

45 inches and about 40 pounds! YUM!

He could hardly hold it this way!

We had a blast this weekend and I can not wait to be able to go back for some fun in the sun this Summer!
I hope everyone had a great weekend too! Brian and I are looking forward to celebrating our 1st anniversary this Saturday! We are going to Dutch's Daughter (a well known restaurant in Frederick) since I have been dying to go there and we have never been! We are planning to relax and enjoy some time at home and I have the cake topper thawing in the refrigerator! It held up really well and still has some of the flowers on it. I still can not believe we have already been married a year. It seems like just a couple months ago we got married. I am so lucky to have him in my life and we really have enjoyed this year of marriage. I look forward to all the amazing things this life has waiting for us.

I am bummed I won't be in Charlotte this weekend though to celebrate Mothers Day with my amazing Mom and my wonderful Sister. I have learned so much from both of them and I thank them both so much for helping me become the woman and wife I am today. My mom is the textbook perfect mom. She is there when you need her no matter what and you know she is going to get you through what ever it may be. She pushes herself everyday to do more and loves each one of us so much it amazes me. My sister is also an amazing mom who balances being a single mom with such grace. She is a strong and independent woman who inspires me to keep wanting more with my life. She is brilliant and beautiful and such an amazing mother to Emma!
I love you both so very much and I hope that you know how loved you are this weekend! Also Happy Birthday to Katie!!!

I will post an update next week! Love to all!
